I definitely love Vikavolt a little bit more simply because it's an electric type who is also a space ship, but I do love Sandalit's typing and ability. It's cute in it's own way too.

Anyone know if this adorable bastard is going to evolve? I kind of dont want it to but would also love to see a full on komodo dragonesq style lizard finally.

I like Salandit a little more than Vikavolt. I was really excited for grubbin though because it's another tiny electric bug like joltik.

I feel like they will just put more emphasis on its bandit visuals instead. And its not right for the head shape it has to suddenly turn into a komodo dragon's skull shape. Basically, wait until they make a completely seperate komodo dragon pokemon, this already has enough going on.

I like it a lot. Smug Salamander is my favorite new pokemon so far. Plus the ability to poison steel/poison types means that only pokemon with immunity/poison heal or already statused will be able to switch into its toxics. Fire/Poison is surprisingly decent typing in that it gives 3 x4 resists (one of which, the fairy resist, is extremely useful) that let you switch in even with bad defensive stats, and immunity to both burn and poison. x4 ground weak is, well, horrible, but it can be worked around depending on its moveset.

Well, immunity to poison as long as you don't face a different salandit.

It's pretty much tied with Rockruff and Vikavolt for me. Gen 7 is off to a really great start honestly.

Fire/Poison is the coolest fucking typing and I hope it has good stats or at least evolves

It'll probably shift the Meta a little bit. Being able to poison Steel and Poison-types isn't totally meta-changing, but it isn't insignificant either, and Sandalit's typing makes it prime Fairy-killing material. It'll depend mostly on how its stats pan out when it evolves.

It's certainly better.
