I only heard one small 2 second part that sounded THAT similar. If thousands of fans are going to ape a style, eventually there is going to be crossover

Masuda's battle music has a very distinct style, they all pretty much sound the same. While part of the fan music does sound very similar, it's highly unlikely that Masuda ever played this autistic romhack and stole the music.
