I kind of liked the angry triangle eyes Electabuzz had. Plus the weird tail and facial markings/shape just makes him seem off to me in a way I can't quite describe.

I love it. Unfortunately, it has rubbish Speed, decent but not amazing Attack, and its typing doesn't do it any favours. Oh, and its move pool is quite limited, despite having some pretty cool options.

I just want them to reroll its stats so that it is competitively viable because I think that, for the most part, Electivire is a fantastic design with some great potential. Magmortar has similar issues.

Electivire should've gotten:
>75 HP
>123 Attack
>57 Defense
>95 Sp. Attack
>85 Sp. Defense
>105 Speed
It would've been the embodiment of OU with those stats, it could've gotten a better HA as well, how the fuck does Vital Spirit make any sense? If it ever gets a Mega it better fucking get Iron Fist or Electric Surge

No boosting moves or strong STAB.
If it got Reckless, Iron Fist, or Sheer Force, then we'd have a pretty nice physical electric mon.

It also gets no boosting moves. Fuck, even just Hone Claws would be nice to hit Zapdos with Stone Edge before it whirlwinds you out.

I like it, Electabuzz was never one of my favourites anyway. Magmortar's design is beyond saving, but then again Magmar's was too so I not too bothered.

Not much went wrong, he's my favorite Electric type hands down and probably one of my favorite pokemon in general. I actually liked a lot of the Gen IV evolutions we got.

But frail defenses and average speed means that Electivire can only switch in on a Thunder Wave so he can get that Speed boost. Plus he doesn't have any really good STAB (Bolt Strike fucking when?) and his coverage options aren't much more powerful. Monotype Electric means he doesn't have much in the way of useful resistances, either.

I also feel like the black stripe on his belly is extra as hell.
