Does anyone else want another rock/ground type?
The last one was Rhyperior, and before that was Pupitar.
The main problem is that none of them are fast, with the fastest being Onix (base 70) and the next fastest being Pupitar (base 51). It's a great offensive type for EdgeQuake, but can't see any serious use outside of Trick Room because they all have
>High attack
>High defense
>Low special stats
>Low speed
>Low base HP
A speedy, high-offenses Rock/Ground with EdgeQuake or even Earth Power/<New decent special rock move> would be a real forcedespite being weak to every single priority move other than Shadow Sneak and Sucker Punch

Doubles Plus Quick Guard user?

Fuck, has it seriously been that long since we've had a rock/ground type? I guess Geodude being thrown into every game made lose perception of how many there actually were.

When you think about it, we don't even have that many. People tend to hate on this type combination due to its quadruple weaknesses and the fact that you see Geodude everywhere.
Give it Storm Drain.

OP here, I was actually thinking it would be good for an ability which reduces damage from moves that hit it before it attacks.
A decently-fast mon wouldn't be outsped often, but often enough for it to be viable against frail all-out attackers and priority users. It would also help it switch in, like a reverse-Analytic. Damage mitigation abilities are very rock-type, so I think it would be consistent with its typing while also being useful and unique.
>Faster mons do reduced damage
>Slower mons get edgequaked
You could even give it a Lagging Tail.
That said, I guess the ability doesn't really matter to me, I just want the typing and stat distribution.
