My first thought is:
We have one Master Stone (Don't mind names, m'kay?) and Second Stones. We can collect them and attach to our bracelet. Stones will affect attack which has their type (simply, they recieve a STAB)

Example:
Milotc with Surf, Recover, Ice Beam and Disarming Voice - our Bracelet has Rain Stone, Simple Stone, Hail Stone and Pixie Stone. Don't mind stone names. They're shit

Something to do with legendaries maybe? Yellow for electric, blue for water etc

It's just stat-boost stones. Like the Wonder Launcher from Gen V, but in normal gameplay, and you have to choose your boosts before the battle starts by customizing your bracelet.

Mega ring 2.0
The "...ite"s are all gone. Now all we have are a singular Mega stone with which to Mega Evolve.

In addition, Synergy is now a thing. Not all Synergy forms will change the pokemon aesthetically though. Some will just get a red aura.

At least that's what I want.
