It's a shame, because all they had to do was let you battle and level up Pokemon like the mainline games. They could've kept the gay capture minigame. They could've dropped some of the deeper elements, like EVs and IVs. All they had to do was give you that feeling of progression that you earned by battling skillfully. Instead, it's just walk 10 minutes, play a shitty minigame, walk 10 minutes, oops, not enough balls for a shitty minigame, walk 10 minutes, spin a circle for 3 plays next time the shitty minigame comes up. oh boy.

Pretty sure it uses the same system as Ingress for locations so they are user submitted and 'landmarks' so if you live in the suburbs or middle of nowhere you will probably have to travel a little to find a 'landmark'

I live in the smallest town ever in the least known state of Pennsylvania. Sucks I will never get to use this app to its full advantage.

I think this game had so much potential to be great and its understandable how much pokemon company wanted to hold back since its a free game, but I would've liked it if the game had areas of certain boundaries based where you currently are allowing you to freely move without doing so irl, containing the roads of where you live but not contain the actual houses but randomly generated homes wit npc with the possibility of meeting someone if they're nearby and also playing, and then to get to a new area you would have to move irl where you're taken to a new bounded area with different mons. Its such a shame because this game will be hyped up for so long and it will gradually die out
