Eeveelutions is a thing for girls. One of the few pokegirls i know is obsesed by them.

I think they prefer more "mammal" looking pokemon and boys prefer scaled stuff, like reptiles, bugs, armored. Girls like fur and a definite animal look, such as a dog, rabbit, or cat. Girls like the pets, guys like the monsters.
