If you give something the Steel type when it evolves, it ought to have higher physical defense than special defense. Y'know. Because it's made out of metal.

I like Flytrap, though I don't think it would be used in competitive. Victreebel would get it. Nothing else comes to mind, and you can't give it to things like Heatmor who eat bugs but don't actually trap them.

Hmm, yeah, that's true.

It's not a great move, but it's thematically appropriate and I wish Carnivine had gotten something like that to begin with. Maybe it would have if it had been a Gen VI 'mon when Freeze Dry was introduced.
