His mega is one of the worst. It does nothing to example on the design and concept. (Mostly because Lucario has no concept. It's just a design made to be popular for kids so they added things that kids liked and mixed it all together)

I'm not talking about as a pokemon, since megas don't seem to be restricted by normal pokemon's design philosophies., I'm talking about as a design in general; the half open angry eyes, "tattered" head appendages flowing behind the head, and jagged but stream-like black patterns help solidify it's impression of "aggressive serenity", which is by-and-large the idea behind controlling the body's chakra for martial purposes, from both a historical and contemporary perspective. The spikes are probably because the original design's power seemed questionable, in a lot of ways, and they are situated at the end of the designs flow-lines, which also resemble the ideas of releasing chi/chakra/aura through specific points (although that is not to say more spikes are always permitable in a design). They also did some shit to just make the design look better in general, like the frilled fur collar which downplays the largeness of the head without changing the proportions too much. less generic tail, and shoulder "collars"
It's pretty fucking good anon. Hell, the only problem I have with it is that the back of the head doesn't flow into the dreads well enough. It fulfills the Mega evolution's goals of just being refinements of the prior forms functionality without being constricted by the 'mon's initial IRL inspirations (or lack thereof) to a T.

It was not conceived as a ninja, regardless of what a third party made it out to be post-shiling. They combined a stylized anubis (can "judge peoples hearts" by reading emotions, literally Anubis' only power) and a kickboxer (iron stones on limbs, the main way kickboxers would fuck up opponents back in the day). If you din't know about lucario and just aimed to combined those two concepts into a pokemon that was simple and yet gave off a strong "cool" vibe, you'd probably end up with something similar. My guess is that, like Greninja, they drew a draft and were like "hey, this could be really poplar!" after the fact.

In my honest opinion I kind of like how Sinnoh was all about creation, and is probably more important than people realize. I'd just like it to get some more recognition in game as an important region. In the DP remakes, I really do hope Arceus plays a MAJOR role. Maybe even in other games like SM, he could appear in some form?

I think the rea problem is that it was actually CAPTURED by you. I think something like a cutscene after you capture it where it leaves the ball of it's own volition, looks over you, and acknowledges you as being a worthy of using some of it's power before returning to the ball would make it seem much more like a god lending you some of its power, rather than another animal you capture that just happened to create the world.

My problem with Arceus isn't that he is god, but the fact that they BUTCHERED his introduction into the series. They made almost zero attempt to integreate him into the game as god. His Azure Flute event was never released when he was first introduced. And even his movie didnt help. The only glimmer of hope we got for him was his event to get a lv 1 Dialga, Palkia or Giratina in SS/HG
