I used to find Stantler forgettable until it was cemented as "That pokemon I always forget exists." Same with Lapras (And I would forget that it's an Ice type too.) So really every time I think of a pokemon as forgettable I start remembering it as "That forgettable one"

Well to be honest I much rather prefer Burmy because I always though bagworms were really neat growing up but Wormadam is a fine evolution with a neat type-changing mechanic. The female part of this line is pretty unique in this aspect. And I happen to think Lumineon is the best looking fish pokemon along with having a very soothing color palette and top notch cry.

Every Pokemon has a string of randomized data that only exists so the game can calculate shit like natures, shininess, and things like Spinda's spots. Wumple's evolution is determined by it, too.

Scatterbug's line is the best not-Caterpie though.

Scatterbug is a cutie and becomes even cuter with the confetti spewing fuzzy coat as Spewpa. And Vivillion is the prettiest butterfly of the lot and the wing pattern gimmick was great and made the Pokemon fun to collect and relevant beyond the first half of the game unlike the other butterflies.

I think burgmite and avalugg are pretty forgettable

If you played competitive at the start of Gen 4 there's no way you could forget Electivire. Everyone was so stoked on his existence and wanted to try him out.

Aside from that, Electabuzz was a pretty well-liked genwun, and I feel like the relation is enough to keep Electivire in peoples heads to some extent. Magmortar is more forgettable but due to their connection, still not that forgettable.

Electivire had a Brawl trophy. Also common to see on mono electric teams because it's the strongest base physical electric type, and it also gets Earthquake. If it got any boosting move whatsoever it'd very easily be UU or BL in fanfic meta, but sadly only Eelektross gets one.

Magmortar is easily memorable since it is part of the fiery assface line.
