Well, if they legit mean this to be the end of something, what if that's actually the end of Pokemon as made by Game Freak?

We've seen them moving more and more away from Nintendo and more-so into doing their own thing, and I wouldn't be surprised at all if they made Sun and Moon to be their last Pokemon gaems before giving Nintendo the middle finger and becoming the lazy indie devs they apparently seem hellbent on trying to become.

Still, if it was the end of Pokemon made by GF, then who would take over for them? Is there anyone Matsuda even trusts not to fuck everything up whilst he isn't looking? And more importantly, would it be like a proper reboot, or more-so one of those Awakening-type reboots where a lot of classic elements get changes and it drowns in a sea of waifu b8 and new waifu gameplay elements?

If Gamefreak wasn't making Pokemon anymore, we'd have known about that already. They work on these games for years in advance. For one thing, if this was Gamefreak's last game, or even if this was just their last generation, there would have been major layoffs at Gamefreak and/or hirings within Nintendo or at another developer a year or two ago, and they would have been of the magnitude that the industry media notices. And it would have been news that some other studio had started working on Pokemon games, because it would have already had to start by now unless Nintendo wants a four-year gap between games.

You can do this shit all day. It doesn't mean anything. It's literally a free association game. Occult/Esoteric and even Alchemic stuff just makes it all super easy. All the parts of the video dealing with that are just overreaching. Except the Azoth=Solaleo thing, that's very straightforward. Except it's not. Sun/Moon/Earth deities are a dime a dozen. It's not hard to find one that fits whatever theory you care to come up with. Furthermore, Alchemic and Occult language is all coded. Not literal. This is necessary. It's serving artistic as well as occlusion purposes.

TL;DR It's all bullshit.

Promising speculation include the "it all comes together" meme and how the VC Red/Blue/Yellow connect to Sun and Moon in that we'll get to trade between them and that the RED and BLUE on Zygarde's final form relate directly to Red and Blue the original games somehow. It's a gimmick. What a surprise, new Pokemon games come with a new gimmick mon or two. This time one of them's a legendary.

In fact this gimmick is probably the only thing they meant in the E3 talk when mentioning how the Legendaries will have a new "importance" or whatever. It's just yet another gimmick to get more people to buy the VC content. That's all it is. The only other lore that might come out is how/why pokeballs work and/or exist.

Listen to me. From the other comments it seems highly likely that you yourself were involved with this video. This is the cringiest high school tier bullshit I have ever seen. It was a struggle to watch even a small amount of it. It genuinely made me lose a little bit of faith in humanity, and by this point I thought 4chan had removed all of that resouce that it could. But where pony fuckers, greentext beta stories, forced frog memes, and years of other horrible bullshit failed, this video succeeded.
