I'm not sure what to think about this. I definitely don't think they'd ever sacrifice Pikachu like that, but with everything that's happened, I swear that not even Pikachu is that significant to them anymore. I'd need someone to tell me if Pikachu has done ANYTHING significant within the past couple years. Still, everything is plastered with it, so I don't think they'll quite do it yet, but their reasons are running thin. I honestly think they'd be better off shilling the new gen mons.

Why would anyone use Mega-Pikachu?
Mega-pikachu is completely useless if it evolves by a mega stone.
The only way Pikachu will be good, is if it mega-evolves with a move say Volt Tackle. Just like Rayquaza does with Dragon Ascent.
Because then the Pikachu can hold a light ball (the only thing making pikachu useful in the first place) Hope game freak does this
