Anon. Do you truly believe that? Johto's identity was that it was a much more traditional region, and had far more forest and wilderness in general. Granted it has been outdone in both regards except the traditional thing, but even that alone is more than enough to give it a unique identity.

Only Johto game I've ever played is Crystal, and I didn't even finish the game. After beating the E4 I didn't really feel like continuing, since the game felt like a fucking slog. at that point.
