I did this to complete my Pokédex in XY- there were two DPP legendary Pokémon I was missing and I was too lazy to play the whole of DPP again for them.

That's how I got a shiny Deoxys off of GTS, traded a level 100 Floatzel for it. (Speaking of, if you have ORAS you can use the Blissey secret base trainers to get something up to level 100 pretty quick. It's risky though because generally anything on GTS that's even remotely decent will be traded instantly.)
