Why does /vp/ get so fucking mad about mechanics that make the game more accessible, as if accessible = casual.
Gen 6's EXP Share, for example. It's literally designed to foster more ways to play the game, as opposed to the previous gens where you generally couldn't catch a wide variety of Pokemon and have them all be usable, as they'd be underleveled. EXP Share allows players to have a revolving door of Pokemon, allowing for a variety of teams over the course of a game.
And you guys fucking hate it because "it makes le games too easy1!!!". When in reality, you're using it wrong.
What are other quality of life changes and other mechanics designed to make play more accessible and fluid that /vp/ incorrectly attributes to "casualizing" and "ruining the difficulty" of the games?Don't mention IVs or breeding because autists take that too seriously to ever discuss
Because vp is full of a bunch of autisic manchildren
I really hope they keep the exp share the way it is. Those who don't want it can turn it off but I can still enjoy the freedom of not having to grind.
To me grinding does not equal challenge in any way. It is tedious and nothing else.

The exp share is designed to let you use more Pokémon in a playthrough rather than the same autistic 6 Pokémon from start to finish
It's why they brought back "Gotta catch em all"

That... that's what op is saying
Because difficulty means "having to level up a few more times"
Didn't you know?
