Guess not. Honestly, gen 3 had way too many of these. Crawdaunt, Cacturne, Camerupt, Shiftry, Exploud, Wailord, Seviper, Armaldo, Banette, Absol, etc. I'm sure I'm missing one, but holy fuck that's a lot of useless Pokemon. I wish the P/S split happened earlier.

It was because Gen 1 considered Special as both Attack and Defense, making Psychic types bullshit OP on special attacks, so Ghost and Bug needed to be physical

gen 2 split special into attack and defense, and so dark became special since Bug and Ghost are already physical
