So what's the difference between Ho-oh and Rayquaza?
Rayquaza exists to quell Groudon and Kyogre when they fight and is implied to be master of the skies, since Groudon and Kyogre pull parallels to Behemoth and Leviathan, meaning Rayquaza must be Ziz. In the Wikipedia article for Ziz, it says:
>As Leviathan is the king of fishes, so the Ziz is appointed to rule over the birds.
Ho-oh, however, represents the sky as well. Taken from Bulbapedia:
>Lugia represents the sea, storms, and the color silver... whilr Ho-oh represents the sky, rainbows, and the color gold.
So my thinking is that the two birds have a Zeus/Poseidon thing going on.
But then what's different in what Ho-oh and Rayquaza have to do with the sky?
[s]Who's Hades?[/s]
And what about Lugia versus Kyogre?
Ho-oh information
One Pokemon cannot watch the entire fucking sky. They take shifts

Hades is the lord of the underworld correct? Wouldn't it be Giratina?

Giratina exist in a Antimatter parallel universe.

I think that would be the closest pokemon gets to an "underworld."

But having just those ignores so much about the lore and metaphors behind the Pokemon

Stop this forced reddit meme
omg!
>Lucifer, the archangel, was punished by god for aiming to be better then him. So he sent him to the underworld, as Satan
>Girantina, the "Renegade" Pokemon, was punished by Arceus for using its power for its own purposes. So he sent him to the distortion world, as Girantina-origin form
