Plasma Freeze has the least chance for big bucks but the highest payouts, at 200, 70, and a few 20-30.
Roaring Skies has an easier chance at a payout but the jackpot is lower at 60, 50, and two 30's, only one being secret rare.
Generations has only two money cards in it, both are regular ultra rare in a set with higher ratios at 30-40 each, so it's easier to hit but the payout is less and many other ultra rares can pay the value of the pack.
Phantom Forces has one money card at 30, which is secret rare, but it also has two uncommons at 10 dollars and 5-7 dollars apiece, so buying those packs can actually yield the highest profit overall.

By the time vending would have come out, Haymaker was rarely running Electabuzz anymore. Most of them had long since switched to Magmar to counter Scyther or Promo Mewtwo to counter Hitmonchan, because those were far more common than Rain Dance.

Wigglytuff was the primary Haymaker counter, because it could come out in two turns and OHKO 70HP mons with Pluspower. The deck usually operated by throwing Hitmonchans and Scythers at the opponent until mid-game when the ERs had started to dry up a bit.

Get rid of the grass stuff. It's all worthless. Focus purely on Medicham and powering up. The best cards to do this are Carbink BREAK and Landorus (from Fates Collide and Furious Fists respectively).

I started out making decks that worked against EX pokemon (I usually use the other Bouffalant but this one was for Standard tournaments), but as time went on I put more emphasis on Medicham. I've been wanting to go all out with Medicham and turbo Carbink looks interesting. Will give it a try.

Once again, I've updated this deck to handle the Legacy meta a little better. The best part about Garbodor is that it doesn't shut down Typhlosion so there are no down sides. Over all, the deck does well when facing most decks, especially VirGen, but still struggles with dark decks.

Japan's prices aren't impacted the same way ours are. Since their cards aren't being spread over such a wide area, and the cost of packs are lower, the price for singles never reaches the same heights (except for rare exceptions, like Shining Gyarados).

Any reprint of a useful card over here makes a dent in the price, unless that reprint brings something back into the format just as it's about to be retired, because players might not have them at the ready. Shaymin is getting to be old, but it's ubiquitous, so it'd surely drop even if it was only printed as a SR.

I think the main reason it started to rise in price was Lysandre's Trump Card getting banned. With Supporters reliably staying in the discard pile, VS Seeker's utility increased greatly.

I hope they start putting it in theme decks now that the last English set it was printed in is over a year old, even if it's only as 1 per deck, because that'd make it at least a bit fairer for new players. And if I'm really dreaming big, a full play set in Keldeo vs. Rayquaza would be great.

If LTC was responsible for its price hike, it was pretty delayed, because I remember helping my friend build a M-Tyranitar EX deck and the vendor sold him a playset of VS Seeker for $5 each. AOR came out mid-August, LTC was banned mid-June. Nonetheless, you are right; with LTC gone, VS Seeker's usefulness rose quite a bit.

Did you seriously bring up a set blister promo like Froakie as a good bundle? By that logic any set that prints good promos in their blisters is PTCGO making a good bundle. Blacksmith isn't unique. People want new things with more varied packs, not the same shit over and over. Feel free to continue moving goalposts to justify bad dev decisions.
