Everyone already knows what Shedinja is weak against anyway, so this doesn't change anything.
Also, we don't know if the tips show in multiplayer battles. They only show up on Pokemon you've seen before, and since seeing Pokemon in multiplayer doesn't affect the Pokedex, it very well could treat every Pokemon like you've never seen them before.

The point of knowing what types are effective against what is part of what separates a Pokeman master from a beginner trainer. In the anime they are always doing it, some trainer knows the matchup while the other one doesn't.

Eh I did it a couple of times when X and Y first came out because some stuff like Flabebe you think is grass but it turns out to be Fairy and the type was new so I forgot what's effective on it.

This shit will ruin the game, unless you can turn it off in which case it will be a great feature. For multiplayer everyone checks the matchups but for single player it will ruin the experience of making a decision on the moment.

If I can turn it off I will until I finish the story and I won't give a shit. But I don't want to be told exactly what to do, it's mindless and the single player is already easy enough.
