This. Tons of children's media in Japan is filled with death. Nips just really love sad drama and honoruble sacrifice. Even the Japanese version of Power Rangers will show random civilians dying, I hear.

I don't fucking cry at anything but PMD Sky always fucking hits me. Fucking Armaldo throwing his treasure at Igglybuff, Riding Lapras, Grovyle pushing Dusknoir into the bad future, your partner fucking sobbing when you're gone, and that fucking end to the future of darkness, just God damn there's even more I didn't list but why does get to me? It always invokes emotions in me, hell even hearing Primal Dialgas theme in Super got me emotional.
