I name after bands and artists. I got an archeops named Jurassic 5 a houndoom named dmx a liepard called cat dollz etc

Thinking of giving nicknames for my bros. So far I have:

Xizor for Scizor
Salvador for Salamence
Foodini for Alakazam
TheChamp for Machamp

I'm stumped on a nickname for Tyranitar and Exeggutor.

Name them after your favorite Pokemon.

I will usually call a Treecko, Treeky and a Marill/Azumaril, Gabby. It's what my brother named those two Pokemon back in gen 3, so I get nostalgic over that sort of thing.

I usually give my pokemon realish names. My alakazam is named Zodiac, Espeon named Karina, Dodrio named Juri.

Generally most of the names are pretty obscure, ethnic etc, but I find it more fitting than sending out John the Sandshrew

I think I'll give all of my SM Pokemon names along the lines of GRASS OWL or ROCK SPHERE or PUNCH MAN.

Chevalier (french for knight) for my Chesnaught
Chimp for my Infernape, because at the time, I thought chimps where monkeys.
Phenox for my Talonflame, because I misspelled Phoenix.
And Sticks for my Sceptile, because it sounds cool.

I have a rule of naming them whatever pops into my mind first.

So anything from normal names like "Adam" and "Mark" to stupid shit like "SpicSnatcher" and "P.T.S.D"

Eyecandy for Masquerain, sort of a pun of Surskit and Masquerain's Japanese names and categories
