Also, based on Moon there, customization looks like it is near identical to X/Y's. I'm partly upset, but partly happy based on how OR/AS gave us nothing.

Yeah, I get what you're saying. But consider that Serena and Calem but played roles as NPC's with established designs. You could still customize them when you played as them.

May/Brendan play those exact same roles. Only difference is May/Brendan existed for 12 years, whereas Calem/Serena gave you the option to customize the games they were revealed in.

So yeah, again, I get what you're saying. But I don't see it as a valid excuse to cut customization. You should have been able to expand from the default look, just like with Calem/Serena.
