The game's transitioning to really 3D as opposed to quasi-3D. Telegraphing trainer encounters makes up for the camera angle's blind spots if you're not using the automap.

We should absolutely complain, but about things that are worth complaining.
Giving trainers lazy teams with stupid movesets, takes away from the game and makes it less enjoyable, making it unnecessarily unchallenging. That's the kind of stuff that gives us reason to complain.
There's no chance that the game won't be easy, even BW2's hard mode wasn't hard, even though it was very much an upgrade from the normal mode.
I do admit the games seem to go out of their way to help you; all the overpowered gift pokemon that get shoved down your throat, the people that heal you in every dungeon, the hand-holding annoying friends and whatnot, it's true the games are getting more casual each time. On the other hand, there are some more convenient things they add, like the new breeding mechanics, the dexnav, this new interface things, the new exp share (it's fantastic for EV training), the kind of things that makes the game more accessible for new players, and are overall positive to have.

Battle Royales look interesting.

That's the only compliment I can give, and it's not even a big one because there will probably be less than half a dozen battle royales against NPCs in the game.

Everything else is neutral at best and awful at worst, type hints being the latter.
