I've been wondering about these lineups.

Wouldn't it make more of an impact in gameplay to have the Elite 4 use some 'mons not native to their region if it doesn't have enough type lines to fill up their team? I mean, they ARE the Elite 4. Loyalty to native region-only lineup shouldn't be a factor for supposed top trainers with great knowledge of their types; though, I can see why if that's the case.

Nothing wrong with a repeat or two but then you have members like Glacia whose lineup consists of a grand total of two Pokemon lines. Lorelei in Gen1 had a more varied team than her.

Double froslass is a bad idea, but froslass isn't a bad pokemon.

It can get away with some absolutely absurd bullshit with destiny bond, snow cloak and hail and brightpowder, and 100 percent accurate blizzard spam if hail is up. Glacia admittedly doesn't use this strategy, but I'm not going to complain too much.

Granted they should give it plus 20 in spatk and atk, but that's about it. Maybe 40 in one and none in the other if you want to min max it.

Me and my friends loved finding these pokemon post-game though. When I first found a Misdreavus, before my friends found it, and we had a VS battle they all got ruined by Perish Song. It was lovely.

Running around headbutting trees was fantastic too. The obscurity of some pokemon is what made G/S really great for me, but then again that was before we could go on the internet to find out where to get certain pokemon.

They definitely all had the best teams out of all games.
Gens 5 and 6 were huge let downs with only 4 pokemon.
Gens 1-3 had poorly thought out teams.

Giving Lance Aero, Zard and Gyarados is perfectly fine. Same with giving Agatha Golbat and Arbok, those fit thematically. They also give the trainers type variation which makes for more interesting battles.

I don't like the doubling up of pokemon, if they have to they should just take away the doubles and make every pokemon a little higher level to match the difficulty.

Lance has room for a Dragonair, too.

Glacia could have used one less Glalie, one less Sealeo, and one or two marginally ice-related pokemon like Gorebyss or Starmie. (Wallace and Juan don't use those IIRC)

There is no excuse for giving Flint a Lopunny. Drifblim is permissable as it's a hot air balloon, Steelix not really, but they completely fucked up DP's fire type situation anyway. He could have got a Monferno and maybe a Clef/Skuntank with Fire Blast.
