I miss gen 5 where you dedn't need any hm aside from one tree or something in the main game. Bw1 if I'm not mistaken.

They need to go. Why not have them as items?

The Pokemon shouldn't have to know the move to use it, just be capable of learning it.

Its annoying when I have a team of 6 Pokemon, all of whom I want to use for Battle, and then I have to keep switching one out to get some HM Slave Pokemon. They should make PCs portable, take away their ability to heal, and allow you to use HM moves from Pokemon in your PC.

I like the idea someone suggested once, that instead of them being attacks (thoguh some can be retconned and changed to just be attacks, like Surf and Waterfall) that they can basically be like "tricks" that high level trainers can tell you about. Like when you beat a Gym Leader, they go "hey, did you know you can fly on your Pokemon to travel faster? Here's how you do it..." or whatever. I think the main thing there is knowing what Pokemon can do it. With an HM you just teach and it you'll know it can learn it. Without some kind of indicator you'll just be crapshooting to figure out what Pokemon can break rocks or whatever.

all pokemon should be able to pass obstacles depeding on the situation

it's so obvious, but NOPE let's make it take a move slot :^)

HMs need to be done away with. Instead, have the moves be innate abilities of the pokemon that get unlocked as you beat gym leaders or whatever. Then turn the HMs into TMs so the moves can still be used in battle if someone wants them.

That way there's no need to take up a move slot or drag around a HM slave.

They shouldnt have existed from gen 2 onward

Yes this please. Makes it feel more natural and doesn't take up move slots for junk moves. You could even have shit like Rock Climb back if it was like this.
