There's just an endless amount of roadblocks to liking it. As a boy you probably think its going to give you cooties. It's grass which already was the least popular starter choice. It's entirely meant to encourage defensive play, but any normal person is going to brute force their way through the adventure. Its defensive movepool isn't even that intriguing. And then Meganium's look is a huge disappointment to some people. Even only now I'm come to appreciate this line for being a cute set of dinosaurs that spam leech seed.

Because her evolutions are shit

It turns out to be a decent cleric. That's about it. Gave mine leech seed so it can be a little more annoying.

It should have a reversed gender ratio.

Meganium is GOAT. Big, kawaii eyes, pretty hibiscus collar, pleasing lime coloring that complements the flower, overall high quality design. Green Pokemon are the best: Meganium, Politoed, Celebi, Bellossom.... why was Gen II so based?

I beat Pokemon White with only Snivy (not evolving nor having other Pokemon) without beating any wild Pokemon. Even Reshiram was manageable.

The entire Meganium line in general is just bland and forgettable. It doesn't help that Gen 2 also had the worst Pokémon designs overall aside from a few good ones like Tyranitar and the legendaries.

Probably this mostly. It's why most feminine Pokemon that straight guys don't want to jack it to are generally reviled. The Pokemon doesn't even have to be overtly feminine--it just has to not be hyper masculine or cool.

HGSS/Plat/BW/BW2 are an acceptable difficulty. Me complaining that highest leveled trainer only uses 2 Pokemon or the final rival battle doesn't use a full movesets is fucking different.

I think that the problem with Pokemon's meta nowadays is that it has become a game of "One-shot kill your foes before they one-shot kill you", making Defense stats irrelevant next to the Attack and Speed ones.
