I recently got a bootleg Firered from a store on accident. It looks and acts exactly like the original. If I trade all of the version exclusives over and then return it, will they hurt my legit copy at all?
Probably not. Worst case is probably just a Bad Egg. You can google what to do for those.

Yes OP, the magical wizard that lives in your legit copy will spot the bootleg Pokémon and make your cartridge explode.

Thanks :)
I thought something was fishy at first look, but when I saw "the save file is ok" I googled it and found out.

Well.. just to be sure I am breeding the hacked Pokemon and using the egg, then releasing the parent just in case.

Well, yeah. I had to pick an image that catches your eye on the catalog. My last thread got no replies because I didn't have an enticing enough image. Go figure.
