Frankly I hate this board because no one wants to look at some positives and wish you were all dead.

Because I enjoyed Gen 1, 2, 4 and 5.
Gen 7 and 8 will be good, 9 will be terrible.

Because the games have always been good and continue to produce good games that give you a great feeling of adventure. Also provides great designs for humans and mons, with so many to choose from there's no conceivable way you won't find a team you'll like, Pokemon designs are made to be widely appealing which benefits it greatly. Not to mention waifu game for humans and furfags are both great. Also relating Pokemon to good memories from childhood helps a ton.

Basically Pokemon is top tier escapism, by being fun and satisfying to playthrough with likable designs and characters.
