So about Ash's design...

The SM male trainer's design is way too plain. A hat and jacket that takes some design elements from it is a given, and Ash may even end up with the same shorts.

One thing that I liked about ORAS designs was the wetsuits. They made sense for Hoenn, and they make sense for Alola as well.

My point: A wetsuit shirt design that's a mix between Brendan's (or Brawly) and Archie to make a collared shirt makes a lot of sense. Ash can keep cool, he can swim in it, etc. Plus, it's not like Ash is keeping his jacket open in XY anyways, so this isn't all that different from what we have right now.

I like the idea of Ash wearing tight clothes. Since it seems XY was moving away from letting viewers see him shirtless.
