I'm happy for all the megas it gave to Pokemon that needed it.

Gen 6 feels like some horrible fever dream where I'm being felt up by a bunch of old japanese men with only 72 FUCKING POKEMON.

Pokemon amie was pretty great, I guess.

I like Kalos and I'm waiting for Pokemon Z.

five years from now people will unironically feel nostalgic for gen 6

I really love how Gen 6 made breeding accessible. I have tons of competitively viable Pokemon now.

I like a lot of the new Pokemon. There are a few I am not fond of (as always), but the world is a better place with Hawlucha and Meowstic.

The improvements to online battles and general online connectivity were fantastic. I'll take themed Pokemon GL Tournaments over a new Battle Frontier any day (though both would be wonderful GameFreak, plz).

I was skeptical about Megas originally but I like them now.

Gen 6 had nothing substantial in the v after game. The Looker cases took at most 3 hours. We didn't have anymore routes or places to go except to that battle facility. Plus no rematches with the elite four.

The only difference between the two is that BW focused on pandering to genwunners through "replicating the feeling of RBY", i.e. bloating the dex with 150+ genwun rip-offs, while XY just straight up jerked off to the old fan favorites like Charizard and Mewtwo.

XY still wins in my book though since it at least managed to make the online playable.

I loved XY a lot desu

I did enjoy them both, the only thing was they didn't have the enemy trainer levels high enough to keep up with the grind avoidance they tried to do with the new exp share.

I feel like they improved the 3D movement in ORAS too, but that might just be because you could run using the circle pad too rather than having to use the d-pad if you didn't want to use the roller skates.

There are E4 and gym leader rematches. Not the best ones, but better than nothing like R/B, G/S, R/S or D/P.
