N3DS will probably fix it. You have to remember though, these mons have a shit ton of polygons that lag the game. They were made like this so that way all they have to do is copy paste the mons into newer games. When a more powerful hardware comes along then the lag will be gone.

I have no doubt the game will, at the very least, run at a constant 30FPS on NEW 3DS. Too bad 60 FPS seems to be too out there, guess the models are too high-poly. It's a shame because Gen 5 had 60FPS battles and that wasn't too long ago.
