To be fair, in Gen 1 Charizard didn't have many options outside of toxic/fire spin stall or trying to burn through its lower Special with fire blast.
I guess tbolting a jolteon to death means that anything's on the table, but Seismic Toss LOOKS more damaging to Rhydon than Flamethrower or Slash would.

Next to oneshotting Victreebel. Not only did Red intentionally send an electric type against a ground type like some novice trainer thinking it would do anything. The Rhyhorn actually uses a electric attack itself and fucking OHKO Jolteon like it was nothing.

The whole thing was a complete embarrassment.
