i had about 500 of them by means of playing all of the games throughout the years. getting the last 200something wasn't that hard, and finishing the pokedex while only having a fraction of them is a waste of time too if you consider new games coming out. now i have all 721 forever, and will bring it with me into sun and moon. you're a lazy fuck if you're willing to finish your pokedex but not willing to do a living dex. bottom line.

I'm working on a living dex in prep for SM, just like a lot of others ITT.

My method has been to catch everything catchable in Y and OR, then breed and evolve and etc. through from front to back to fill the gaps. I'm a Chansey and a Dragonite away from finishing gen 1. Overall, I'm at 534/721. I've been polishing off about a box per day, so I should be done by the end of the month.

This method was a mistake. There's nothing left for me to go out and get, so every day is just breeding babies and punching Secret Base Blisseys. Still, I'll truck through.
