Wow, a legitimate comparison. I'm sure there's reasons why they couldn't get there still, including the obvious laziness, but I'm just surprised it's acually a fair comparison this time. When did we get so concerned over the graphics?

This looks worse than Sun and moon.The models are of lower qualityand the lighting is very basic, pokémon just uses a very distinctive style with more simplistic textures, but uses high quality models as well as advanced non-realistic lighting.

To be honest, the Pokemon models in battle are probably higher quality than anything else in those games. The region itself looks pretty alright comparatively too, though a bit more simplistic.
