Alola ought to have all the islands of Hawaii and have a sea route to Kyushu. Maybe include Johnston Atoll, Midway, Wake Island, and Guam along the way too so we know what we're not getting in Sun/Moon.

A region of the US of your choosing maybe? Alaska, Pacific Northwest, South, Southwest, etc.

Also I really like how Italy turned out.

Lines are the general direction of routes. The Green dots are the start and End points of the region/game. Blue dots are towns, red dots are cities, pink dots are special locations. Typically, there's a blue dot between red dots.
