The original Skyla was born at least 90 years ago and during her lifetime was scouted by an ad agency shortly after receiving her pilot's license. She's promoted airlines, soft drinks, cigarettes and even appeared on recruitment posters. So long as the imagery could involve aviation, she'd be there.

Tragedy struck during a skydiving accident and the Rescue Drifblim didn't make it in time. A mysterious benefactor obsessed with her work was able to secure her remains and funded research on "bringing her back" in some form. Cloning research was the answer to his prayers.

None of the Skyla clones have memories of the original, but all seem to have a penchant for flying.

Snorlax are just pretty uncommon, they live in the mountains (in Kanto you can't go to any mountain but Mt.moon cave)

Sudowoodo is plausible, but Johto lore explains that Sudowoodo hates water and hides in dry places, rarely goes to damp places (forest, lakes, etc)

The reason if why you are the champion but the former one still remains it's because we just won the title but prefer to wander around the region and improve, that's why the former champion is the canon champion.

Steven is the canon champion 3 years later, our character travelled around the world so let him be the champion again

Cynthia is the exception, after being defeated, she was the one who travelled around the world and arrived in Unova, our character accepted to be canon champion.

Even if you lose your titlr, you are still known as champion bc of your strength, that explains PWT.
