I think Shota's 6th mon is from Hoenn so he has 3 Kalos and 3 Hoenn mon on his team. I'm thinking Camerupt or Walrein. I'm also sure he will have evolved Doublade and Shelgon.

The strongest Mega Evolution Acts have clearly been established as canon to the main anime, which also makes Ayakya and Louie canon characters, even though they are now also appearing in the main anime, so Alain should recognize the both of them with no problem.
