The problem is that a Bug type has to be both not weak to Birb AND good enough to compete with EVERY OTHER meta Pokemon. That literally leaves ONLY Scizor. There ARE Bugs that can compete with Talonflame, but they get slaughtered by several others.

I like that it looks like a rhino beetle, that it has the vent on its front and arms so it looks mecha, it's whole shtick about overheating from attacking so fast, the way it attacks with grappling, fisticuffs and shooting, and that its a Mega that plays differently from its base form.
