Let's put it this way. If she finds him before, Ash will very likely be an asshole to her to add tension to the episode. But then it would make the pacing feel weird because she would go look for him, get upset and leave him, and then go look for again shortly after.

If it is after then, there may be a hug or a run up like XY070. But on the flip side that doesn't explain why Ash is still upset if this is supposedly after the snowstorm in which he repaired his bond with Greninja.
