Not the same article, but it's horrifying to know that more than two people have been victimized by this thing. I don't have the story on me, but a guy on a fish forum noticed that fish were missing or looking ragged, and looking at the tank one day he noticed he had a bobbit worm. He tried feeding it food with broken glass in the hopes that it'd kill it (instead of poisoning and ruining his aquarium), but it didn't work. Eventually he tried wrenching it out, but only got a part of it and the rest grew back. He finally decided to take his tank apart (RIP ridiculously expensive coral and rock), and the piece of shit was at least a meter long, maybe two.
