Every other Mega (except Latios and Garchomp) has its uses.

There is absolutely no reason to use this over base Tyranitar, except as a Dragon Dance sweeper, which it's greatly outclassed it.

So, Mega Tyranitar, Latios, and Garchomp are the most forgettable Megas, as they're the only ones with no advantages over their base forms.

Yeah, and it can't run infinite coverage and usually enjoys roost, so it can't handle a gazillion threats.
But yeah if we're talking UU it's pretty fucking godly, and it's true that it's a pretty decent pick in OU, it's just somewhat outclassed as a fast mega to deal with offensive teams by Mega Lop and somewhat Mega Manectric, but it's become a bit worse because of sand and the meta becoming fatter.

I battle with in game teams, sometimes bred for moves or natures, and now that super training and horde battles are a thing, I sometimes take time to assure I have good EVs, but all of that stuff is basic, just time consuming. Knowing what generally will or won't kill you is all you need, using a calculator is overkill, especially touting it off as the only viable option to not be a filthy casual lmfao

I can't forget it because I hate this thing. Aerodactyl is cool as fuck but this thing? For one it's literally aero with rocks glued to it. Then it's supposed to be the 'real' aerodactly with normal aero being messed up because of the fossil, but it looks like it's the other way around. On top of it they just gave it tough claws, rather than letting it keep rock head and learn head smash/brave bird for some STAB outside of friggin aerial ace.

We could have had pick related or something much better, but instead we get spikey aerodactly, pure disappointment

The only thing is it's weak or neutral to almost every priority attack besides Brave Bird and Extreme Speed. Interestingly, it makes a better Talonflame counter than many others that are considered more solid counters (Rotom-W, Rhyperior, Tyranitar, etc.) because it resists U-Turn as well as its STABs. IIRC the only other Pokemon that can do that is Rotom-H. Even Rotom-H can get Toxic'd and Roost stalled by some Talon variants, but M-Aerodactyl OHKOs birb even if it switches in on a Will o Wisp. I think it's the best Talonflame switchin in the game.
