Do NOT skip as it includes ALL the pokemon of that group into your "preferred" pool of pokemon. It pollutes your choices later on.

Choose at least one you like the most from a group you don't particularly like. It would be easier to remove it later and it won't clog up slots for your true favorites that mught show up later.

When you have narrowed down most of your favorites, the hard part becomes avoiding the mistake of eliminating a 2nd favorite in favor of a 3rd favorite. Picture this:

Pokemon A is your 1st favorite, B is your 2nd, C is your 3rd and D your fourth.

You were forced to choose between A+B and C+D. Thus, you choose A and C, so C becomes the second favorite instead of B.

To avoid this, do NOT choose A over B immediately. Keep selecting both or skip until you get a favorable match up like A+D and B+C or A+C and B+D.

Another reason why you would want to keep selecting most your favorites instead of choosing right away is because the chances of an eliminated favorite re-appearing depends on how many times it has been selected previously.

Back to examples, A, B, C and D. If you mistakenly eliminated B and it so happened you only had to select it once prior, then you might not see it again until later, and you will be forced to have other favorites rank before B.

I just have funny memories with Gallade, I remember having a random addiction to Heart Gold and wanted to hunt for every legendary + rare creature, so I asked for recommendations and some random /vp/er just let me borrow his False Swipe Gallade for a week.

I used my own in X and now it's my favorite False Sweeper, I can see how it's kind of a goobermon with the likes of Flygon and Dunsparce though.
