I'm 25 and have played since Yellow. Granted, a leak like this has never happened so long before the release of any game, but intuition tells me these are real, even if concept art.

They defy expectations, they're professional, and in some ways outrageous. They're exactly the kind of shit GF would pull. It's exactly how I felt about the gen 5 and 6 evolution leaks. I knew right away they were real.


Of course, I understand there are no sources etc, and if I'm wrong I'm wrong. Is there any need to argue about it? It's fun to speculate and the majority of this board loves them.

Pantherinae is actually a relatively small subfamily of Felidae (cats) that includes 4 main variations: Jaguars, Leopards, Lions, and Tigers.
So even if it's not outwardly obvious that it's a tiger, it's still an easy argument to say it's a tiger. Especially with the striped ass. Like how last generation we got foxes and people argued they weren't dogs, but foxes are actually Canidae which is the traditional family for dogs. So they're dogs.

Panthers are actually Pantherinae, which is the traditional family for tigers. So it's a tiger.

They didn't just stop making detailed mons altogether, just not as many. And nothing is stopping them from going back to it, especially when they mentioned they want to. In fact it was largely Sugi designing these smooth blobs like Dragonite and Goodra.

On a different topic, I also find the stripes a little weird, but it's possible the others light up when it attacks, alluding to how panthers still have markings that are simply hard to see. Litten's raised fur also turns red when it attacks. I can imagine the stripes lighting up in a row as the fire travels from its tail to its mouth.
