This is what pisses me off about the half-assed story in Gen VI.

>Lysandre activates the laser in the end
>it doesn't have enough energy absorbed from the Legendary to cause his genocide but it has just enough juice to be used as a small explosion
>before this he is rambling about how he will make the protag suffer by giving them eternal life
>it lands on Kalos
>protag and everyone else somehow escape unscathed from the blast destroying the weapon and underground base but Lysandre is nowhere to be seen and is never heard from again, presumed dead

So...? Did he give the protag eternal life? Did he also gain eternal life from the blast and didn't die? He's just stuck down there? I don't get it. This kind of storytelling is even more sloppier than the Sectonia revelation in Kirby Triple Deluxe, and it fucking makes me mad as hell.
