Who were the best starters and why were they the Kalos starters?

It was the Sinnoh starters though

Feel like they're the worst honestly.
Only good one out of them all is Frogadier.
Overall Gen 4 takes the cake for me.
Great inspirations, first time all of them have a secondary typing, one of them being fucking steel, all look great too.

Greninja is my Favorite pokemon; i find the RPG Classes concept to be the best out of all the starters; Prinplup is my least favorite Mid-Evo of all-time.

Yet i have to agree with this completely. They're the best evolved form trio. Great concepts and great executions overall and not a single one of them is lame. They're all just as strongly designed.
