Never but hawaii has a quite a few extinct in modern times animals

plesiosaur (although you could argue lapras fits this) and triceratops definitely.

Extinct Hawaiian owls turned into terrestrial predators for a while.

Unlike the other regions, Hawaii's a natural laboratory due to isolation, and I hope the games reflect that a little.
Hawaii's known as both the endeminism and extinction capital of the world, so I hope that it draws some attention to the native wildlife.
Also pic related is a large extinct duck species.

A poison fossil would be a tight change something like a Diloposaurus or Komodo Dragon or some shit.

(TL note: I know Dilo's couldn't actually do that, nobody knows if poisonous dinosaurs actually existed anyway)
