+10 speed would open up more opportunities for offensive sets to shine. Also speedy tanks are fun to use.

Kingdra doesn't need a stat boost, just a rearrangement. It has an awful case of gen 1 and 2 stat distro.

Kingdra has stats spread everywhere with no focus. So many gen 1 and 2 pokemon had that problem. Where no stat is over 100 and it's just spread everywhere.

Electrode has amazing speed and absolutely garbage everything else.

In my opinion GF could and should go harder with boosting BST for older Pokemon, since so many early gen Pokemon are stuck with crazy shitty BSTs with run of the mill stats in everything making them just kind of a mushy sack of stats that isn't particularly good at anything or has one good stat and mediocre everything else(talking stuff like Poliwrath, Hypno, Noctowl, Girafarig, etc) and you just don't see Pokemon with stats like that anymore in new gens, at least not nearly as much. They have the tools to fix the power creep, but instead they are content to give ludicrous megas to almost exclusively the worst/best and not much of the inbetween and call it a day. Not everything needs 580 BST but would it kill them to make earlier gen Pokemon not totally suck compared to newer monsters?
