It was in my main team when I first played Y and I still used it a LOT to farm the Elite four for money because: One shell smash in LV100 = Everything is gone.

I like it, it's kinda monstrous but in a good way in my opinion. Top 3 Kalosmon (for me) without doubt.

Stop attempting to defend a shitty gimmick when it had so much more potential. They could have done something really fucking cool with Unown if they wanted to. Something like being able to combine predetermined sets of letters into words that give the resulting fused Unown different movesets or BSTs, maybe even granting it a secondary typing. Or maybe each letter could learn every move beginning with its letter, assuming it possessed a means of obtaining it (the punctuation marks could potentially have an effect on the stats of the resulting word; maybe exclamation point is more offensive, question mark more defensive). Or hell, maybe both of those ideas combined. The idea of Pokemon that make up an alphabet has so much potential, but all of it was squandered in favor of a useless collectathon.

Most people seem unable to recognize the unique inspirations for a lot of Pokemon, so they default to say it looks like X existing Pokemon, despite the obvious inspirations being extremely different.
