I fucking hated the chibi style. It didn't fit at all with the art style for the backgrounds and main AESTHETICS of the sixth gen.

Gen 7 is gonna be great. Gen 6 was basically the 3ds beta test for how to do 3D Pokemon games. SM will perfect it. Curious to see what else gen 7 brings.
