Should Mewtwo be #150 or #151?
I think 151, he wasn't discovered first because he was born in a lab from Mew, which means they found Mew first, in order to name it MewTWO.
I could understand it if he was called Mr. Mime Two, but he's not.

Didn't they use a fossilized Mew hair? Mew was only speculation at that point, or believed extinct.

He was supposed to be a clone of Mew so technically they'd have the same number. Mayeb they didn't know what Mew looked like or how different it was physiologically different until the player character discovered the actual one, so Mewtwo got 150 since they thought that's what Mew was like until someone actually discovered a Mew?

Mewtwo should be 150. But only because Mew could be 149 or even 1 while the two Nidoran would join into one species as they should. Unless they start counting Meowstic as two species.
